Captans is a small designer boutique resort spread over 2.5 acres of lush greenery, located in a picturesque Western Ghats (hill) resort, 4 KMS off Lonavla, 2500 ft above sea level between Bombay and Pune. It is 100 KM from Bombay (2 Hrs) and 70 KM (1 HR) from Pune accessible by the new Bombay Pune expressway and is also well connected by rail.
The resort is situated in the most pristine environment in the vicinity of the giant Walvan lake and perched on the edge of the Ghats on the fringe of the beautiful Rajmachi/Bhimashankar wildlife Sanctuary and nature park, it has some of the most amazing views of the Western Ghats and ranges. Just the place to lay back and unwind amidst nature.
Accomodation:
Three Deluxe Double rooms with attached Toilets in a Row House that faces a well laid out garden beyond which lies the swimming pool. One Deluxe Double in the main club-house.
Also in the Main Club house building is one Super Deluxe room and another Double Luxurious suite with a grand stand view of the Western ghats.
The main clubhouse building has a lounge with a home theatre for watching your favorite movies. There is a sit-in dining facilities (indoors and outdoors).
Four Spacious Bali Style cottages make up the rest of the accommodation at Captans. They have attached toilets and a separate dining and sitting area from the rest of the above accommodation.
Additionally, there are 4 beautiful Forest Rooms hidden amongst the trees.
Cuisine :
Home style Indian cuisine and also offers an international cuisine experience. Outdoor tandoor and barbeque can also be arranged.
Corporate Training program with Adventure & Team Building Activities:
Outdoor Corporate Management Training Programs with Adventure Activities and Team Building exercises is also known as Experiential Learning.
The aim of such programs is to develop inter-personal and intra-personal skills amongst employees of a company leading to improved efficiency, better co-ordination and amiable work environment.
The process is conducted in an outdoor environment, using innovative activities and techniques and the performance is monitored by experts.

Treks, camping and other outdoor activities :
Captans is an excellent base for the treks to the famed picturesque ancient Shivaji fort of Rajmachi, (during the rains June to October it has some of the most amazing waterfalls and outdoor scenery).

We also offer overnight camping trips and treks to the environs of Rajmachi forts and Bhima Shankar/ Shirotra / Walvan lakes. Two four-wheel drive vehicles are available to make the above trips or night safari to the Rajmachi / Bhimashankar wildlife preserve behind Captans.
